Mormons, Baptists, and Unitarians are three distinct religious groups that differ in their beliefs and practices.
Mormons, also known as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, believe in a modern-day prophet and in the Book of Mormon as another testament of Jesus Christ. They believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost as separate beings and in the importance of families. Mormons practice baptism by immersion and wear special undergarments as a symbol of their faith. They also have a strong emphasis on missionary work and service.
Baptists, on the other hand, believe in the Bible as the sole authority for faith and practice. They practice baptism by immersion and believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone. They do not have a formal hierarchy or governing body, and each church is autonomous. Baptists also place a strong emphasis on individual freedom and the separation of church and state.
Unitarians, meanwhile, believe in the unity of God and reject the doctrine of the Trinity. They believe in personal freedom and the use of reason in interpreting scripture. Unitarians also emphasize social justice and the worth and dignity of every individual. They do not practice baptism or communion, and their worship services often involve readings, music, and meditation.
